Activities - Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry

This department treats children from infancy to the age of 18 yrs. The array of treatment includes preventive and interceptive treatment along with correction of dental abnormalities. We perform all basic treatment procedures such as Exodontia, Restorations, Endodontic procedures, Oral prophylaxis, Pit and Fissure sealants, Topical application of Fluorides. We render specialised restorative procedures like Stainless steel crowns, Composite restorations and Prosthesis in special cases. We provide Preventive and Interceptive orthodontic treatment such as Space management, Habit breaking appliances and minor orthodontic corrections. Oral surgical procedures and Trauma care are undertaken as for the need. We believe in interdisciplinary approach wherever required.

We also conduct regular school dental health programmes and provide free treatment to create dental awareness among school going children.

The students are trained individually under close supervision and guidance of proficient faculty members with immense academic milieu. Seminars, group discussions, Journal clubs, clinical discussions and Continuing Dental Education programs are conducted regularly with the aid of latest audio visual aids for proper interaction and for updating the current concepts in Pediatric dentistry.
